About The Show

THE SNAKEBITE MEDICINE SHOW is a night of entertainment unlike any other night. And as such do not call themselves a band, but instead call themselves a Show. As suggested by the name this show has a unique old world feeling with a new world bite. A mix of folk and rock music both original and cover, and the continual mix of musicians onstage, seems to almost have a polished vaudeville feel to it yet culminates with one final burst of music as all acts take the stage for one last set to conclude the night.

On March 18, 2012, Occupy the Arts of Easton conducted its first open air, unamplified, open stage performance. Street musicians and poets as well as professional performers gathered from around the area at Scott Park in Easton at noon to begin what would be a three month long stretch of weekly performances. It was from these open air concerts that the concept for the Snakebite Medicine Show slowly started to take shape within the minds of four of the performers. Terry Craig, being one of the organizers of Occupy the Arts as well as one of the performers, approached two of the other acts: guitarist/vocalist Dave Deubler, and the duo Krome Rose which consisted of guitarist/vocalist Chris Leaning and bassist/vocalist Morgan MacAodghain. Together they set about creating a night's worth of entertainment that differs from the stereotypical band often seen playing out today. Indeed The Snakebite Medicine Show is clearly not your average band. That said, I'm sure we could all use a bit of this medicine.
